New Guidance Letter Issued By The U.S. Department Of Education For Students With Disabilities Who Attend Public Schools

The U.S. Department of Education has just released its interpretation of the impact of the ADA Amendments Act of 2008 and implementing Department of Justice’s implementing federal regulations that were finalized last year. The ADA Amendments Act broaden the scope of coverage and protections available under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act for students with disabilities who attend public schools or educational entities.
