The Theatre Development Fund (TDF) has set dates in 2013 for autism-friendly performances on Broadway for children, adults, caregivers, and their families for popular musicals like Elf, Mary Poppins, Spider Man: Turn Off the Dark, Newsies, and Disney’s The Lion King. These performances are sensory friendly (no loud noises, bright, or flashing lights) and quiet areas are available.
For more information about the Theatre Development Fund’s autism initiative in New York City and with regional theatres around the country, please visit the press release on their website. The website lists specific dates for each performance.
